Comedy/fantasy about single father Scott Calvin and his young son Charlie whose house is visited by Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. When Santa falls off their roof and is injured, Charlie persuades his dad to take over Santa's job. When Scott, a toy company executive, inadvertantly kills Santa on Christmas Eve, he is recruited to take Santa's place. And as he "grows" into the job, his personal life begins to fall apart...
