Description
Part one concerns the castle "hidden at the base of Eagle Falls on the shore of Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe" and its "owner Mrs. Lora Knight and about the lifestyle of the social elite of the 1920's." Part two "traces the history of volunteer fire departments during the Comstock era. Subjects covered include early fire fighting equipment, fire fighting techniques, the social aspects of volunteer fire companies, and the rivalry that developed among the various engine companies." The last section concerns "the history and significance of the United States Mint in Carson City"--Container label.
