"In this episode, Chris and Dave start out in Sparks and head north to Spanish Springs for a hike though a canyon, which features a large number of petroglyphs. Guide Alvin McLane points out an example of solar interaction that illustrates how ancient people tracked the sun's movement. Then, it's across the valley and up to Tahoe Meadows for a little snowshoeing. The next morning begins in Verdi, west of Reno, where they walk a stretch of the actual route used by the Donner Party ..."--Container label.
