Description
"This documentary leads viewers on a tour of the stunning cove of Glenbrook, where remnants of the logging heyday are still visible on the banks and along the beaches. Historic Preservation Officer Ron James gives an overview of the logging operation and its tie-in with the mines of Virginia City. Bill Bliss, great-grandson of logging magnate Duane Bliss, walks the banks of the cove with for an insider's tour of what remains of the piers and mills. The video provides a rare opportunity to see Reno-based diver Martin McClellan in action. His diving team is videotaping the historic SS Tahoe, sunk 65 years ago, but hardly forgotten, and which now is on the National Register of Historic Places. Ample underwater footage of the old shipwreck makes this program a lively trip into Tahoe's maritime history."- Finding aid.
