Description
Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of this epic-spectacle; its opulence and sweeping grandeur have never been more glorious. Elizabeth Taylor stars as Cleopatra, the glamorous and cunning queen of Egypt. To secure her hold on power, she seduces the rulers of Rome, including Caeser, but meets her match in Marc Antony, played by Richard Burton (Elizabeth Taylor's real on again/off again husband and lover). Their passionate romance could decide the fate of the world's greatest empires. This movie is not only a classic story, it is an amazing piece of film making that has gone down as truly one of the most epic and visually astonishing movies of all time. The chemistry between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton could not be more authentic as the two of them were in love constantly, even when they fought and divorced and remarried and divorced again. With a relationship like that which couldn't help but translate onto the screen, Cleopatra couldn't help but have some of the most smoldering and real love scenes on film.
