Description
This three part video covers topics that are reflections of Nevada. Part one examines tree carvings "both as an example of a folk art and as a documentary record of the Basque sheepherders' experiences." The second part explores the history of the "slot machine from its mechanical beginnings" to "today's micro-chip electronic versions". The third part presents "performances of the popular music of the 1860s and 1870s. It was videotaped on location in historic Virginia City"--Container label.
