Set on the 1960s, singers Effie, Lorrel, and Deena are discovered at a localtalent show by ambitious manager Curtis Taylor Jr. The trio knownas 'the Dreamettes' is soon offered the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of openingfor popular singer James 'Thunder' Early.
