A run-down and out-of-business chemical plant poisons and mutates the wooded area of Innertown. When children enter the woods, they disappear. Overwrought with fear, the authorities do nothing but deem the children runaways. Leonard and his friends, though, are not so cowardly. They devise a plan and take action, revealing a horrific, destructive force within their town.
