Description
The action takes place in ancient Egypt, and tells of the love of Radames, the captain of the guard, for a slave girl, Aida. She is the daughter of the King of Ethiopia, who is captured by Radames and the Egyptian troops. Tricked into betraying military secrets, Radames is condemned to be buried alive. Description
Set in mythical Peking, Princess Turandot declares she will marry any man of royal blood who can solve three riddles she sets him. Failure to solve the riddles will result in execution. Prince Calaf, in spite of many entreaties not to do so, wishes to seek the hand of Turandot. Calaf solves the riddles, but gives Turandot another chance to be rid of him. Ultimately, Turandot discovers that love is the answer she needs.

Description
The Chevalier des Grieux meets and seduces the young Manon when she is being escorted by her brother to a convent. Manon lives with des Grieux in Paris, but leaves him for a rich admirer. She is later arrested, charged with prostitution, and deported to Louisiana. Des Grieux accompanies her and during an escape attempt she dies in his arms.
