Description
Literary Reno : writers and places is a two-hour walking tour of selected literary sites of Reno and is part of Artown, Reno's month-long celebration of the arts. Sites visited include The Riverside Hotel, the Santa Fe Hotel, DeLongchamps House, Morril Hall on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. The video includes readings and living history performances featuring the writings of four of Reno literary greats: Clare Booth Luce (performed by Mella Harmon), Robert Laxalt (readings by Marcelino Ugalde), Joanne de Longchamps (readings and performance by Michele Basta), Walter Van Tilburg Clark (readings by Neal Ferguson, Jim Santini) and commentary on Basque hotels by Dick Belastegui.
