Features four historic buildings located along Interstate 80 in northern Nevada which are undergoing transformation into cultural facilities with support from the State Office of Historic Preservation. On-camera host Gwen Clancy interviews Susan Mayes-Smith at the Lear Theater in Reno, Gail Munk at the Pershing County Courthouse in Lovelock, Meg Glaser at the Western Folklife Center in Elko, and Mella Harmon at the Planetarium on the University of Nevada campus in Reno. Includes statement from Historic Preservation Officer Ron James about the significance of each facility.
