Description
The Mapes Hotel and Casino opened December 17, 1947. It was the first hotel in the country to house a casino, hotel and live entertainment under one roof. In 1982, 35 years to the day, the Mapes closed it's doors. On January 30th, 2000, this historic building was demolished.
